| 'Sleeps
up to 7 in 4 bedrooms (cots and z-bed available)
Weekly rates from £450 to £850 all inclusive.
Heating, linen, towels and cleaning are all included in the quoted
rates. Open all year. Rural peace in a spacious, well-equipped stone cottage with
delightful views. A wonderful place to experience the English
countryside at its best.
Four bedrooms - 2 double, 1 twin, 1 single. 'One of the doubles
is on the ground-floor next to a bathroom, so ideal for anyone
who does not like stairs.'
Log fire, television, video and hi-fi in the living room; Aga
(plus an ordinary electric cooker too) in the kitchen; Antique
refectory table in the dining room; Wendy house in the garden
(a delight for young children); and a funky master bathroom. There is off-road parking for 2-3 cars and a garage. The garden
is quiet and its main attraction is a pleasant patio and lawn
area looking staight out over fields to hills in the middle distance.
A very pleasant spot to sit and soak in the peace of the countryside. Greygles is situated on the edge of a friendly village with
an extensive farm shop and well-known pub restaurant. This is the country of Hardy novels, an Area of Outstanding
Natural Beauty, just off the Wessex Ridgeway walkers' path, set
in the gentle hills and woods of central Dorset. The 'Jurassic'
coast with its dramatic cliffs and coves, as well as ancient abbeys
and castles, wonderful gardens, lovely old towns, and even a tank
museum, are all within a half hour drive. Rentals are normally for one week from Saturday to Saturday
but outside peak season periods we are happy to discuss alternative
start-days and shorter lets (3 nights minimum). Children are very
welcome, pets are by mutual discussion, but we do say no to smoking
(after all, my main job is running the lung charity, TB Alert) Greygles is an old Dorset word for the bluebells that abound
in the local woods in Spring. |
