| A holiday
in the Dorset countryside, surrounded by woods, where only the local postman,
the deer and the squirrels will know of your existence.
The Courtyard is a first floor wing of Moreford Hall (late 19th Century), once
the residence of the local Frampton family and now home to the Lofts household.
Your holiday home consists of your own private entrance, with a staircase to
the first floor landing, leading to a comfortably furnished diningroom/lounge
with colour television; a large bathroom featuring a traditional cast iron bath;
a more-than-fully equipped kitchen, a pleasantly furnished bedroom with a double
bed; full central heating in the winter months in all rooms and a wall heater
in the bathroom. A washing machine and tumble drier are also available.
We can be difficult to find at first, but you are only five minutes walk down
our private drive (very dark at night, but we do supply you with a torch) to a
delightful country pub and a railway halt (Moreton Station) with a direct service
to Weymouth and London (Waterloo) and all points on route. Village shops, post
office and petrol, are again, only minutes away.
Dorchester, our county town, is the next stop by train, or only fifteen
minutes by car, and don't forget, you are deep in Hardy country. The nearest beach
is only 10 minutes drive away and the nearby village of Moreton is well known
for its church with windows engraved by Laurence Whistler and for having Lawrence
of Arabia's grave in the churchyard.
